I just went to ZUJI travel website and here’s what I got:
Bali 3D/2N fr $468
Phuket 3D/2N fr $258
Manado 3D/2N fr $518 (but I don’t know where/what Manado isK)
Chiangmai 3D/2N fr $308

Take note all price start FROM a certain limit lah. That means it’s probably waay more than that. But no fear! I don’t think the costs will be sky high. The website got say prices include air + hotel + taxes + surcharges blah blah. And the airlines in the package are all more renowned ones – SIA, Cathay Pacific, etc.

Haha, so I thinking if we really want to save money, we can just book 2 rooms lor and bring our sleeping bags (then we don’t even need to order extra beds!)… after all, sleeping bags are not that heavy right? hello everybody! im here again to post more details about the class tripp. =))

erm i checked out the hotels already. here are the few links.

okay i bet most of u all never bothered to click on the links. lol. so i shall summarise everything for you right here. erm.. basically a standard room costs around $108 for a day. its not a bad holiday. there's the facilities quite a standard hotel. swimming pools, nxt to the beach etc. its 30 minutes from the International Airport, 30 minutes from Denpasar, capital city of Bali.

erm bintan is much more expensive. it costs around $200 a night over there. u guys can check out the details over here.

so i chcked out on the air tickets to bali, depensar. the cheapest comes from garuda indonesia. at around $290 for both round tickets, but i think we would value our lives at a higher price than that. so singapore is offering to give us more security if we are willing to pay $385 for the round tickets. of course the ticket is economy class. i don suppose anybody wants to take business class.

so assuming we all head over to bali.. for 3 days 2 nights.. its around.. $709 for accmodation and airfare. i think the price im quoting right now is kinda high. so maybe $709 is around the upper limit of the possible costs. im quite sure if we look for a travel agent we can get a much better deal.

*edit* i just chcked on the net. there are actually 3 day 2 night package tours by travel agents that cost only like $399, but they only last till 30th november. so i am quite optimistic that our $709 is quite a high figure. *

yeaa.. so since our date is finalised as 5,6,7th of november. i suggest we faster faster book and can get the rooms yea? on monday i'll circulate a list for u all to write your name if u all are going. i want to get the thigns booked by next friday latest can? chop chop settle. =))

there's a price list for the 5N cruise (the one u proposed), 3N cruise and 2N cruises.. click on the links above (all superstar virgo i should think) ... some early bird promotional offer thingy... the thing is, after comparing the dates.. i think for the 5 night one, the promotion is for only up till november (they only gave a few dates for this cruise.. which is different from www.starcruises.com so i'm assuming that they only show dates where promotion is available) and it costs about $900++ (the cheapest) so i think without e promotion, it might be more than $1000++

the royal caribbean one sounds good tho... the itinerary sounds nice! phuket and langkawi... should be fun! coz got nice clean beaches and everything..

so i guess the next step would be deciding for sure how long our trip is gonna be! (5N, 4N or 3N?) and a budget that everyone agrees with... longer cruise means must pay more... and it could go up to about $1000++ ...

so um... that's all i guess... must go to sleep now...zzz

 

...since I think I finished writing my human geog notes (or should be almost done liao) so therefore I shall take a break.

Mmm actually ah.. there aren't a lot of cruises that leave Singapore in Dec and have a 5day journey.

hello peoplee.

lol finally got my own account. anyway, alright i'm here to talk about the trip. okay.. firstly, i need to emphasize to u guys how important that this is a joint effort. i mean.. if it were a normal class outing it'll be fine probably me and regina can handle, but this is a class overseas trip and its not going to be easy for only me and regina, so if everyone chips in i'm sure things will be much easier for everyone.

well, me and regina have been discussing.. and so far we've come up with these things that we need to do.

THINGS TO DO FOR 6G OVERSEAS TRIP

cruise people
- do actual bookings
- find out the activities we can do on the cruise- we definitely need a planned schedule, free and easy can be included into the schedule but i guess it would be better if there's a schedule for everyone to adhere to.

Collect money-
take charge of joint payments:
1. travelling fees,
2. hotel fees
3. attendance

PLANS
if we visit places(use the internet to search, damn efficent one)
1. What things to sightsee?
2. What things to shop for? Where to shop?
3. Watching any shows/concerts/performances?

BUDGET
Someone to chart out the average expenditure so people can decide how much cash we need to convert
